Exam 2 Practice Exam
A full-length mock exam covering communication, documentation, integumentary and wound care, pain, and
musculoskeletal assessment — the four topics named for Exam 2, plus the Week 6 lab material. Companion to
the NUR 120 Exam 2 Study Guide and the shorter Practice Quiz; no stem is repeated between the
two papers.
The blueprint is 40 multiple-choice questions — skin 19, pain 10, communication 9, documentation 2 — and it says to expect application-level items. It also tells you to complete the ATI Communication assignments, which live in ATI and are not reproduced here.
This set runs far longer on purpose, and mixes in select-all, ordering, true/false and fill-in-the-blank because those formats
expose gaps a four-option question can hide. The blueprint names no musculoskeletal content; Part 5 material is kept here as lab revision. Give yourself about two hours, or split it across two
sittings by half.
How it works: pick an answer and the rationale appears immediately — why the right answer is right and
why each tempting distractor is wrong. Every question carries its topic tag, and the score summary lists
which areas you missed so you know exactly what to re-read. Items marked with a star test content the
Integumentary deck marks with a drawn star or arrow.
Two halves. Questions 1–45 are recall — definitions, numbers, and single-step
application. Questions 46–149 are scenario and edge-case items, written to the shapes Exam 1
actually used: ranking two abnormal findings, the same number meaning opposite things in two
patients, whether one finding really affects another, specific instruction over vague,
classification by mechanism rather than by feel, what to do first when every option is correct,
and the distractor whose reasoning is usually right. The second half is where the work is.
