Exam 1 Practice Exam
A full-length mock exam covering all 21 content areas of the published Exam 1 Blueprint — verified area
by area, none omitted. Companion to the NUR 120 Exam 1 Study Guide and the shorter
Practice Quiz.
The blueprint specifies 40 multiple-choice questions for Exam 1. This set
runs to 90, so that thinly-represented blueprint rows get real practice and every area gets a scenario as
well as a recall item, and it mixes in select-all, ordering, true/false, and fill-in-the-blank because
those formats expose gaps a four-option question can hide. Give yourself about 100 minutes for
the whole set, or about 50 for either half.
How it works: pick an answer and the rationale appears immediately — why the right answer is right and
why each tempting distractor is wrong. Every question carries its blueprint tag, and the score summary
lists which blueprint areas you missed so you know exactly what to re-read. Items marked with a star
test blue-starred deck content, where the deck's number overrides the textbook.
Two halves. Questions 1–45 are the original bank — recall, definitions and
single-step application. Questions 46–90 are scenario and edge-case items, added after Exam 1
and built around the question types the real exam turned out to use: ranking two abnormal findings
against each other, deciding whether one finding actually affects another, choosing a
specific instruction over a vague but defensible one, and classifying findings —
subjective against objective, and the rest. The second half is the harder practice.
